80 years of successful campaigning to protect our landscape

80 years of successful campaigning to protect our landscape

Here’s how CPRE campaigns nationally and locally for a bright future for the countryside.

  • We are fighting for the original boundary of the South Downs National Park to be retained
  • We are urging retailers and supermarkets to ensure UK farmers receive a fair price for beef and sheep
  • We are convincing the Government that there must be a strong environmental emphasis in the new Planning Bill

The town and country planning system, National Parks, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs) and Green Belts are testaments to our 80 years of campaigning. Even so, the countryside continues to face a multitude of threats.
